"I Love Me Too" was the final song I wrote for the upcoming EP. I knew I wanted to end on a high. I wanted it to be like, "Hey! I was really struggling, but the writing process has helped me to completely overcome all my anxieties and now I'm fine!" But of course, that's not how these things really work. So instead, I decided to write a song that would reflect that fantasy, that everything was ok now because life is too short to be feeling down and anxious! Like they say, fake it till you make it...
lyrics
Who’s that?
Who’s that in the mirror?
Was it you that stood there, make up dripping last time? Who’s that?
Who’s that in the mirror?
Can I see you smile and shine like the old times?
I love you. But do I love me?
I want to, but its not that easy.
And every time I look inside, I wanna see me through your eyes. Cause then maybe I’d see, why I love you and you love me.
I’ll try, try to get over all this negativity, that’s so last year.
I’ll try, try a little harder, give myself a break cause life’s too short for god sake.
I love you. But do I love me?
I’m trying, but its not been easy.
And every time I look inside, I wanna see me through your eyes. Cause then maybe I’d see, why I love you and you love me.
Dabadum Dabadum Dabadum etc.
I love you and I love me.
I wanted to and baby now I see.
Oh!
And every time I look inside, I’ll never ever have to hide. I understand baby.
Why I love you and you love me. Oh!
I love you, I love me too. (Dabadum over the top)
I love you and yes I love me too. (Dabadum over the top) I love you, I finally love me too. (Dabadum over the top)
Cause’ like really, life’s too short.
And there are so many people that love you, so why wouldn’t you love yourself?
