So this track is about being in a relationship when you’re having mental health issues, in my case anxiety, and realising just how co dependent you've become on that other person. It's about feeling a blurred perception of who you are as an individual after being with that person for so long. Trying to stand on your own two feet and not pull them down with you. Wondering if the cliche is true, if you love that person should you let them go? It can feel like you’re trying to paddle up stream, going it alone, trying to talk through those issues with yourself, or even another person that exists outside of the safety you’ve found in your relationship, but it’s also empowering and important and i think “I’m getting better” at it.
